XCMG hydrogen energy electric loaders use hydrogen as the power source. In the fuel cell system, it undergoes a chemical reaction with oxygen to generate current. The products are only electricity, heat and water, effectively reducing air pollution and other problems caused by fuel, and achieving zero carbon emissions.

The XC968-FCEV of XCMG was delivered to the user in March 2023 and is mainly responsible for the loading and transfer operations at the user's coal yard. It has been in cumulative use for over 1,000 hours.
