Precautions for excavators operating in special environments
Uphill and downhill
When driving down a steep slope, it is necessary to use the travel control lever and the throttle control lever to maintain a low driving speed. When driving up or down a slope over 15 degrees, an Angle of 90 to 110 degrees should be maintained between the boom and the boom. The distance between the back of the bucket and the ground should be 20 to 30cm, and the engine speed should be reduced.
If the engine of the equipment stalls on a slope, the rotation operation should be prohibited at this time to prevent the upper structure from rotating under its own weight.
If the equipment stops running on a slope, do not open the cab door. This can easily cause sudden changes in the operating force. The cab door should always be closed.
When the equipment is walking on a slope, do not change the direction of movement; otherwise, it may tip over or slide. If it is necessary to change the direction of walking on a slope, the operation should be carried out on a relatively gentle and solid slope.
Work in muddy water and on soft ground
When working on soft ground, due to the heavy weight of the excavator equipment, the ground may gradually sink. During operation, always pay attention to the condition under the machine body.
When the equipment is operating in water, do not let the water exceed the upper support wheel, and do not let the inclination Angle of the equipment exceed 15°. If water enters the interior of the slewing bearing, please drain it in time and add sufficient grease; otherwise, it is easy to cause damage to the engine or other structural components.
Work in the coastal area
Before operating excavators in coastal areas, it is necessary to check whether the plugs, drain valves and all covers are loose. If they are loose, tighten them. When necessary, add an appropriate amount of grease to the electrical equipment to prevent it from rusting. After operation, thoroughly clean the entire equipment to remove salt. If necessary, apply grease or lubricating oil to the required areas to prevent rust.
