The Topcon 3D motor grader control system was put into use for the first time in the expansion and renovation project of Urumqi Airport

     The earthwork and stonework filling area of the flight area runway project of the Urumqi Airport Expansion and Renovation Project, Section 07, is approximately 589,000 square meters. To enhance the construction efficiency and quality, Beijing Changdao Municipal Engineering Group Co., Ltd. first used the Topcon 3DMC² motor grader control system in the fine leveling stage of the earthwork and stonework construction of this project.

    The control system of the Topkang 3DMC² motor grader in the unified site precision leveling operation requires advance measurement and layout, and the installation of wooden piles or mortar piles in coordination with the level. The operator controls the lifting of the motor grader's scraper through hand-eye cooperation to match the marked height. However, the precision control is difficult, the leveling efficiency is low, and the labor intensity of the operator is high. Integrating advanced technical means such as precise positioning, wireless communication, and 3D digital modeling of hydraulic automation, it realizes the 3D digital construction application from BIM design to on-site construction, breaking through the bottleneck restricting the direct application of BIM design in the construction field.

    The application of the Topcon 3D motor grader control system in this section for fine leveling operations has achieved remarkable results. Based on advanced digital construction methods, it can significantly enhance the construction efficiency and quality, realize dynamic quality control and management during the construction process, reduce construction safety risks, and provide strong technical support and guarantee for ensuring the project's on-time acceptance.
