Recently, Sany Heavy Truck's globally pioneering MTB battery was exposed to the public. The MTB technology battery is independently developed and designed by Sany Heavy Truck and has applied for more than ten applications.

Guo Feng, deputy director of Sany Heavy Truck's Electrification Company, introduced that the MTB technology battery is an integrated power battery without a standard box, and it is also a pioneering achievement that Sany Heavy Truck has actively innovated in the three-electric technology.

The full English name of MTB is Module to Bracket, which refers to the direct integration of battery modules into the vehicle battery frame.

The structural innovation of MTB batteries lies in breaking the combination method of standard box batteries and steel frame structures, and pioneering the direct integration of virtual battery modules into high-capacity battery assemblies through automotive-grade MTB technology.

The MTB battery of Sany Heavy trucks uses lightweight alloy materials to create an IP67-level tower-shaped sealed space for the battery module. Guo Feng said that this type of battery is still safely protected even in harsh working conditions such as vibration, collision, compression, extreme heat, rain and cold.

New technologies have demonstrated powerful advantages. The MTB battery has reduced the vehicle's weight by approximately 500kg, increased energy density and space utilization by over 20%, and extended the standard-load range to 270km.

In addition, the MTB battery is equipped with a snowfield insulation system + wire-type central cooling + zoned heating technology. The battery's thermal management efficiency has been increased by 50%, the battery temperature difference is ≤4℃, the battery life has been extended by 10%, and the battery insulation time has reached 300% of the original.

It is reported that Sany Heavy Truck's MTB technology battery will release products with capacities of 291, 373 and 437kWh in the future, supporting both charging and battery swapping energy replenishment methods. The Chinese name of the battery will be released soon.
