The use and maintenance of loaders in winter
The harsh and cruel winter climate is undoubtedly a test for the tool that can create wealth for us - the loader.
A pair of leather shoes, every time we wear them for a while, we always habitually apply shoe polish to them and let them get some fresh air. As for loaders that cost hundreds of thousands of yuan, shouldn't we carry out more reasonable and meticulous maintenance? Now, we would like to share some precautions for the use and maintenance of loaders in winter with all our driver friends, in the hope that loaders can better serve you.
In winter, vehicle usage is relatively difficult. It is recommended that each start should not exceed 8 seconds. If it cannot be started, release the start switch and wait for 1 minute before attempting a second start. After starting the engine, let it idle for a period of time (but not too long, as prolonged idling can cause carbon deposits to form on the inner walls of the cylinders and lead to cylinder pulling). This not only charges the battery but also raises the water temperature to 55℃ and the pressure gauge to 0.4Mpa. Then, start driving.
2. Generally, when the temperature is below 5℃, the engine should be preheated with hot water or steam before starting. It should be preheated to above 30 to 40℃ before starting (mainly to preheat the temperature of the cylinder and then heat the temperature of the mist diesel, as most diesel engines are compression ignition type).
3. Full-load operation of the diesel engine is only allowed when the water temperature exceeds 55℃ and the oil temperature exceeds 45℃. When in operation, the water and oil temperatures of the engine should not exceed 95℃, and the oil temperature of the torque converter should not exceed 110℃.
When the temperature is below 0℃, the cooling water in the water tank drain chamber, engine, oil cooler and torque converter oil cooler should be drained after each day's work to prevent cracking due to freezing. There is water vapor in the air storage tank. It is frequently discharged to prevent freezing, which may cause brake failure. If antifreeze has been added, it does not need to be drained.
5. For vehicles that have been stored in the warehouse and have not been in use for more than half a month, the engine must be started once every 15 days and run for a period of time to charge the battery. If the time is too long, please remove the battery and charge it with a charger (the same applies to vehicles for sale at dealers). At the same time, move them appropriately and change the pressure-bearing parts of the tires to prevent tire deformation. If a vehicle needs to be parked for more than two months, the negative terminal of the battery must be disconnected or removed.
6. The usage of fuel oil, lubricating oil coolant and auxiliary materials used in diesel engines is as follows:
6.1 The diesel for the diesel engine is -10# light diesel, and in cold regions, -35# light diesel is used as fuel.
6.2 The engine oil of the diesel engine shall be CD grade. (For other oils and their quantities, please refer to the operation and maintenance manual of Degong products and the "Diesel Engine Use and Maintenance Instruction Manual".)
7. When the temperature drops below 0℃, the concentration of antifreeze should be checked regularly. At the same time, it is strictly prohibited to use untreated water as the coolant for the engine.
