Hydraulic excavator Movement Operation and Ten Precautions
The operation and precautions for the hydraulic excavator's movement are as follows:
Before starting the excavator, the environmental safety conditions should be checked, obstacles on the road should be cleared, irrelevant personnel should leave the excavator, and then the bucket should be lifted.
After the preparatory work is completed, the driver should first honk the horn and then operate the excavator to start.
3) Before operating the walking rod, the direction of the track frame should be checked first to try to move the excavator forward as much as possible. If the drive wheels are in the front, the walking rod should be operated backward.
4) If the traveling rod starts the excavator within the low-speed range, the engine speed will suddenly increase. Therefore, the driver should be careful when operating the traveling rod.
5) When reversing the excavator, pay attention to the space behind the vehicle and the blind spots at the back of the excavator. If necessary, ask a dedicated person to direct and assist.
6) The traveling speed of the hydraulic excavator - high speed or low speed can be selected by the driver. When the selector switch is in the "0" position, the excavator will move at a low speed and with high torque. When the selection starts at the "1" position, the traveling speed of the excavator will automatically increase or decrease according to the working pressure of the hydraulic traveling circuit. For instance, when excavators travel on flat ground, they can choose high speed. When walking uphill, you can choose a low speed. If the engine speed control panel is set below the medium engine speed (approximately 1400r/min), even if the selector switch is in the "1" position, the excavator will still move at a low speed.
7) Excavators should travel on flat ground as much as possible and avoid placing or manipulating the upper turntable to rotate by themselves.
8) When the excavator is moving on poor ground, it should avoid rocks damaging the walking motor and track frame. The entry of mud, sand and stones into the crawler venue affects the normal movement of excavators and the service life of the crawler.
9) When the excavator is traveling on a slope, it is necessary to ensure the direction of the tracks and the ground conditions to make the excavator travel as straight as possible. Keep the bucket 20 to 30cm off the ground. If the excavator slips or becomes unstable, lower the bucket immediately. When the engine stalls on a slope, lower the bucket to the ground, set the control lever to the middle position, and then restart the engine.
10) Try to avoid the excavator moving through water. If it is necessary to move through water, first investigate the underwater ground conditions, and the water level should not exceed the upper edge of the idler wheels.
