Recently, in Singapore, a major global semiconductor industry hub, XCMG crawler

Recently, in Singapore, a major global semiconductor industry hub, XCMG crawler cranes have assisted United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) in building a factory and expanding production to meet the continuously rising demand for wafer foundry services in the semiconductor market. While leaving the footprints of "Made in China" deeply on the fertile land of Southeast Asia, XCMG is also promoting the development of the global semiconductor industry.

UMC is one of the largest independent semiconductor foundries in the world. The Fab12i P3 factory, which XCMG has contributed to the construction of this time, has cost nearly 5 billion US dollars. After the factory starts production at the end of 2024, it will help alleviate the structural shortage of foundry capacity and have a profound impact on the semiconductor manufacturing industry in Singapore and even globally.

The factory adopts prefabricated concrete structure. Under this structure, to achieve higher construction efficiency, the individual mass of prefabricated columns, prefabricated shear walls and other components is usually relatively heavy. The node connection of prefabricated beams and columns will directly affect the seismic performance of the building. Therefore, the owner also attaches great importance to the hoisting micro-movement capacity of the crane.

Adhering to the three major principles of "fast lifting, heavy lifting and accurate lifting", the owner soon settled on the XCMG XGTC65 - the earliest 65-ton telescopic boom crawler crane model among Chinese brands to enter the Singapore market.

On the spot, under the black hook of XCMG XGTC65, prefabricated columns and beams rose slowly into the air one by one. Lifting, positioning and adjustment, a series of actions were carried out smoothly, with the minimum installation error controlled within 2 millimeters.

Charles, the driver of XCMG XGTC65, commented as follows: "Thanks to its extremely exceptional manoeuvrability, our crane impresses to the fullest. ) "

With the vigorous development of markets such as 5G, the Internet of Things, and automotive electronics, global chip foundry giants have successively announced expansion of production to cope with the growing market demand. The project leader stated that more XCMG equipment will be introduced in the middle and later stages of the project, such as medium and large-tonnage crawler cranes, loaders, excavators, etc.
