The "Versatile Transformer" on the march! The first XCMG XCA900L8 in the country made its debut

Recently, the first XCMG "Versatile King Kong" series large-tonnage crane XCA900L8 in China completed its first lift at the G65 Baomao Expressway Reconstruction and expansion project in Jiuyuan District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia! At the construction site, taking advantage of the 105-meter longest main boom of the existing crane, the XCA900L8 successfully completed the hoisting operation across four lanes.

The "first hook" project of the country's first XCMG XCA900L8 lasted for two days, with an operation radius of 32 meters and a lifting weight of 60 tons. The construction needed to be completed under the premise of ensuring safety and not affecting the passage of passing vehicles, and the on-site environment space was relatively limited. However, the XCA900L8 is capable of handling high-altitude loose work. Its main boom can cover the hoisting of loose work up to 100 meters in height, equivalent to a 33-story building, significantly enhancing construction efficiency.

The XCMG XCA900L8 not only has strong on-board hoisting performance, but also demonstrates the advantages of load-bearing capacity and stability at the off-board site. It has a stronger load-bearing capacity than eight-bridge products, but also offers better flexibility than the seven-bridge products in the industry. After its debut, the XCA900L8 carried a heavy load of 190 tons and moved around smoothly, as stable as a mountain.

Master Jiang, a crane operator from Daqi Construction in Inner Mongolia, is an experienced driver of XCMG XCA460 and XCA700. He is also very proficient in operating the new model of XCMG's "Versatile King" series crane, XCA900L8, and has given it a very fair evaluation.

The overall operation was very smooth, efficient and precise, with a good feel. The XCA900L8 features three combinations of outrigger spans, three super-lifting and unfolding angles, and three counterweight load-bearing displacement options. It can quickly integrate into various complex construction sites and has excellent site adaptability.

It is understood that the Baomao Expressway is an important part of China's "Ten Verticals and Ten Horizontals" comprehensive transportation corridor. During the construction of the project, it won honors such as the National Highway Skills Competition's Outstanding Project Award, the Autonomous Region's Steel Structure Gold Award, and the highest award in Autonomous Region's engineering construction - the Grassland Monument. After the project is completed, it will further optimize the road network structure of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and is of great significance to the highway construction of the autonomous region.
