Maintenance
One of the precautions for using the jaw crusher
"During the operation of the crusher, for some unknown reason, it just stopped there and wouldn't rotate. Then I had to quickly switch the knife to prevent the motor from burning out." This was said by a crusher operator at a mineral processing plant. Improper use of jaw crushers often leads to the phenomenon of the crusher freezing. Therefore, when crushing materials, it is necessary to pay attention to the uniformity of the discharge and the appropriate hardness of the materials. If they are too hard, an additional process can be added.
What are the main factors affecting the operation of jaw crushers?
Under normal circumstances, the main factors affecting the operation of a jaw crusher are the meshing Angle and the rotational speed. The gnawing Angle is the Angle between the moving jaw and the fixed jaw. According to the calculation, the maximum meshing Angle can reach 32 degrees. In actual use, the temperature is usually less than 25 degrees, generally around 18 to 20 degrees. If the meshing Angle is too large, the ore in the crushing chamber will be pushed upward, which may cause injury or damage to other equipment. At the same time, as the meshing Angle increases (the crushing ratio increases), the production rate decreases. Adjusting the size of the ore discharge opening will also change the size of the meshing Angle. In real life, the size of the ore discharge port should be adjusted according to the requirements of the ore discharge particle size. Therefore, under the requirement of ensuring the particle size of the product, it is reasonable to enlarge the ore discharge port as much as possible. The size of the discharge port can be adjusted by regulating the block. When adjusting the size of the discharge port, attention should be paid to the interrelationship between the crushing ratio and the production rate.
Within a certain range, increasing the rotational speed of the eccentric shaft can enhance the production capacity of the crusher, but it will also increase the power consumption per unit weight of ore for crushing. If the rotational speed is too high, the crushed ore in the crushing chamber will not be discharged in time, resulting in blockage. This will instead reduce production capacity and increase power consumption. Therefore, the jaw crusher should have an most suitable rotational speed.
The eccentric shaft, connecting rod, movable jaw plate, shaft and liner of the jaw crusher are the main wearing parts and need to be lubricated and replaced frequently.
