Entering the second half of the year, all regions have been comprehensively advancing the progress of project construction, guiding transportation departments at all levels to accelerate the preparatory work for projects within the planning scope, ensuring that all planned new projects in various regions are "started as much as possible and as quickly as possible", and at the same time, the "acceleration button" has been pressed for ongoing highway projects.

The Zigong to Yongchuan Expressway project is constructed under the BOT model

Recently, the Sichuan Provincial Government replied in principle, agreeing that the expressway project from Zigong via Luzhou to Yongchuan (Sichuan section) would be constructed under the "Build-Operate-Transfer" (BOT) model. Meanwhile, the project has also been approved by the Development and Reform Commission of Sichuan Province, which means that another expressway between Sichuan and Chongqing is about to start construction.

According to the plan, the total length of the expressway from Zigong to Yongchuan is approximately 96 kilometers, with the Sichuan section being about 57.06 kilometers long. It starts from Xianshi Town in Yantan District, Zigong City, passes through Da 'an District, Longchang City in Neijiang, and Luxian County in Luzhou City, and ends near Fangdong Town in Luxian County, connecting to the Chongqing section of the expressway from Zigong to Yongchuan. According to the design, the Sichuan section of the Zigong to Yongchuan Expressway adopts the technical standards of expressways with a designed speed of 100 kilometers per hour, six lanes in both directions, and a roadbed width of 34 meters. In Zigong, three landing interchanges, namely Xianshi, Niufo and Huilong, will be set up to ensure smooth transportation connections.

The Wenchang section of the Hainan Island Tourist Road is expected to be completed by the end of June next year

In recent days, the construction site of the Wenchang section of the Hainan Island Tourist Road has been bustling with activity. The project department is sparing no effort to accelerate the project's progress to ensure that key projects are further accelerated and breakthroughs are made. As of now, the project has achieved a production value of 380 million yuan in 2022, accounting for 62.9% of the planned annual production value. It is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of June next year.

The Wenchang section of the Hainan Island Tourist Road has completed the excavation of 1.414 million cubic meters, accounting for 96.9% of the total. A total of 158 cast-in-place pile foundations were completed, accounting for 95.2%. A total of 225 hollow slab beams were prefabricated, 40.8 kilometers of roadbeds were inspected, and 28.8 kilometers of graded crushed stone base layers were laid. Except for the asphalt mixing plant, all other large-scale temporary facilities have been completed and put into operation.

The construction of the Heze section of the Puxin Expressway is advancing rapidly

Recently, at the construction site of the overpass over the Xinyan Railway on the Heze section of the Puxin Expressway, construction workers were carrying out hoisting operations.

The Heze section of the Puxin Expressway project is 66.9 kilometers long, featuring four lanes in both directions and a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour. It is scheduled to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2022. As of now, 98% of the total amount of roadbed filling for the project has been completed. The bridge project has completed 98% of the total volume. The culvert passage project has been completed at 99% of the total volume. The water-stabilized layer on the road surface was completed for 251 kilometers, accounting for 61.2% of the total. Next, the focus of this project will shift from roadbed filling to pavement laying and the construction of buildings and ancillary works.

From January to August, Xinjiang completed over 50 billion yuan in investment in transportation infrastructure

From January to August, Xinjiang's transportation infrastructure investment reached 51.838 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 15.3%.

This year, Xinjiang will implement 82 transportation construction projects, with a planned investment of 80.037 billion yuan. Among them, there are 80 national and provincial road projects (56 ongoing projects and 24 newly started projects), with a construction scale of 9,805 kilometers and a planned investment of 63.966 billion yuan. One project package for rural roads is planned to complete an investment of 7 billion yuan. One project package for passenger and freight terminals is planned to complete an investment of 9.071 billion yuan.
