I. Reasons for excessively high engine Temperature

1. Leakage in the cooling system or insufficient cooling water; 2. The water temperature gauge indicates inaccurately or malfunctions; 3. There is too much scale in the cooling system, resulting in poor heat dissipation. 4. The radiator grille or the ventilation duct of the radiator core is blocked by debris, resulting in poor heat dissipation. 5. The belts of the water pump and fan are too loose or broken; 6. The water pump is damaged, the fan blades are installed in reverse or deformed, and the air coil is damaged. 7. The thermostat is damaged at the position where the main valve is closed. 8. Long-term overloading of the engine and too late fuel supply time, etc.

Ii. Troubleshooting Methods for Excessively High Engine Temperature

When the engine experiences a fault of excessively high water temperature during operation, it is necessary to pay attention to observing the fault phenomenon, identify the cause and eliminate it. First, check if the water temperature gauge is malfunctioning. If it is inaccurate or malfunctioning, replace it. Then check if the water tank is short of water and if the water inlet pipe and radiator are cracked or leaking. Besides observing directly from the outside, you can also use the method of inflating to check the leaking area. The leaking part of the radiator can be repaired by soldering. If a certain heat dissipation tube is severely cracked, both ends can be flattened and blocked. A slight leakage was found during work. It can be blocked with soap and repaired after the machine stops. If the reasons are not as mentioned above, further inspection should be carried out to check whether there are cracks in the engine housing, whether the water-blocking ring is damaged, and also to check whether the water pump drain hole is leaking. Finally, check whether the exhaust valve of the radiator cap is ineffective. If it is ineffective, replace it.

If it is not a problem of cooling water leakage, the fault should be analyzed and eliminated in two different situations. 1. The water temperature suddenly becomes too high. First, check if the radiator is overheating. If the radiator temperature is too high, it indicates that the cylinder gasket is damaged. At this time, pay attention to checking whether the upper surface of the engine block and the joint surface of the cylinder head are severely warped and deformed. If deformed, it should be repaired in time. If the radiator temperature is not high, it indicates poor cooling water circulation. You should check whether the fan belt is broken or severely slipping. If everything is normal, then check whether the radiator outlet pipe has been sucked in and whether there is delamination or blockage in the inner hole. Identify the cause and eliminate it. An emergency solution is to place an appropriately large spring support in the sucked pipe. Check again whether the expansion cylinder of the thermostat is cracked. If it is cracked, it should be replaced. If the thermostat is functioning properly, it indicates that the water pump is damaged and should be carefully inspected and repaired. 2. Non-sudden excessively high water temperature. For non-sudden overheating phenomena, the engine speed should be increased to observe whether the water filling port is overflowing, and at the same time, pay attention to whether it is overflowing in large quantities or small amounts. If there is a large amount of water overflow and the radiator temperature is uneven, it indicates that some cooling pipes are blocked. Special attention should be paid in the severe winter. When a small amount of water overflows from the water filling port and the engine temperature is lower at the front and higher at the back, it indicates that the water distribution pipe is damaged or blocked and should be replaced in time. If it is not due to the above reasons, it might be that there is too much scale in the cooling system and the water channels are not unobstructed. If water does not overflow at the water filling port, a careful inspection and analysis of the exterior of the cooling system and the mechanical parts of the engine should be carried out.

First, check if the blinds are closed or not fully opened, and if the fan is rotating normally. If everything is normal but the engine is still overheating, then check the fan's air volume. If the air volume is insufficient, the Angle of the fan blades should be adjusted, and the blade heads should be appropriately bent or the fan blades changed.

If the engine is still overheating when the cooling system is normal, the reasons related to usage should be considered. In conclusion, the causes of engine overheating are multi-faceted. The above-mentioned methods can be flexibly applied for inspection and elimination based on specific circumstances.
