However, just like other devices, due to factors such as manufacturing, operation, and usage environment, some malfunctions will always occur. But how can they be resolved as soon as possible after a malfunction occurs? Here is a brief introduction to the "observation, olfaction, touch, smell and palpation" analysis method for loader faults.
When a loader malfunctions or experiences abnormal conditions, it should first be shut down. Then, based on the characteristics of the fault, an analysis and a preliminary judgment of the nature of the fault should be made. It is not advisable to force the operation while faulty, otherwise the fault will continue to expand as the working time goes on.
Some faults are interrelated. For instance, insufficient coolant in a diesel engine not only causes abnormal increases in the water temperature and oil temperature of the diesel engine but also affects the rise in the oil temperature of the dual transformers. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the true cause of the malfunction and then address it accordingly.
The inspection and judgment of faults should, as far as possible, combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience, and be carried out through a comprehensive approach including observation, auscultation and olfaction, touch and palpation.
Observe: Check the changes in the readings of each instrument, the conditions of each connecting part, the leakage of each sealing surface, whether there are any abnormal phenomena in each oil and water, and the color of the diesel engine exhaust smoke, etc.
Smell: Determine the location of abnormal noise by judging the sound emitted by the working component and its changes based on auditory perception.
Touch: Check the surface temperature, connection condition and vibration of each component by the feeling of your hand.
Smell: Rely on the sense of smell to detect any abnormal odors from various components and oils.
When conditions permit, tests can be conducted as required. For faults whose causes cannot be immediately identified, appropriate driving or operation can be carried out under the premise of ensuring safety to observe and analyze the causes of the faults.
After making a preliminary judgment on the fault through the above methods and completing the preparatory work before disassembly, disassemble strictly in the order of sequence. During the disassembly process, the usage of the components should be carefully observed and arranged in an orderly manner. To further confirm the cause of the fault, the original signs in the fault area should be well protected and recorded. Repair can only be carried out after the cause of the fault has been identified.
Only by having a comprehensive understanding of the overall performance and working principle of the machine and constantly learning and accumulating experience can one quickly and accurately identify the cause.
