Maintenance methods for jaw crushers
To ensure the normal operation of the jaw crusher, in addition to correct operation, planned maintenance must be carried out, which includes daily maintenance checks, minor repairs, medium repairs and major repairs.
(1) Minor repair: The main contents include inspecting and repairing the adjustment device, the gap of the high-speed discharge port, and turning or replacing the worn liner. Inspect and repair the transmission part, lubrication system and replace the lubricating oil, etc. The cycle for minor repairs is approximately 1 to 3 months.
(2) Medium repair: In addition to all the work of minor repair, it also includes replacing thrust plates, liners, inspecting and repairing bearing shells, etc. The cycle of medium repair is generally about 1 to 2 years.
(3) Major overhaul: In addition to all the work of medium overhaul, it also includes replacing or turning the eccentric shaft and the mandrel of the movable jaw, casting the Babbitt alloy on the upper part of the connecting rod head, and replacing or repairing all worn parts. The cycle of major overhauls is generally about five years.
(1) Preparations before starting the jaw crusher
Carefully check whether the lubrication condition of the bearing is good and whether there is sufficient grease at the connection of the toggle plate inside the bearing.
2. All fasteners should be carefully checked to ensure they are completely tightened.
3. Check whether the protective devices are in good condition. If any unsafe phenomena are found, they should be eliminated immediately.
4. Check if there are any ores or other debris in the crushing chamber. If so, they should be eliminated immediately.
(2) Start-up of the jaw crusher
Only after inspection and verification that the machine and its transmission parts are in normal condition can it be started.
2. This machine can only be started under no-load conditions.
After starting, if any abnormal situation is found, the machine should be stopped immediately. Only after the cause is identified and the hidden danger is eliminated can it be started again.
(3) Maintenance and operation of jaw crushers
Materials can be fed only after the crusher is operating normally.
2. The materials to be crushed should be evenly added to the crushing chamber, and side feeding should be avoided to prevent sudden changes in load or a sudden increase on one side.
Under normal working conditions, the temperature rise of the bearing should not exceed 35℃, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 70℃. Otherwise, the machine should be stopped immediately, and the cause should be identified and eliminated.
4. Before stopping the machine, the feeding should be halted first. The motor can only be turned off after all the crushed materials in the crushing chamber have been completely discharged.
5. When in use, if the machine stops due to material blockage in the crushing chamber, the motor should be immediately turned off. The material must be completely discharged before the machine can be used again.
6. When one end of the jaw plate is worn, it can be used by turning it around.
(4) Lubrication of the jaw crusher
Oil-free bearing
1. Regularly paying attention to timely lubrication of the friction surfaces can ensure the normal operation of the machine and extend its service life.
2. The type of grease used in this machine should be determined based on the usage location, temperature and other conditions. Generally, calcium-based, sodium-based or calcium-sodium-based grease can be adopted.
