Tips for excavators to climb and descend slopes
Please be careful when climbing the slope
Observe the Angle of the slope to see if it is within the performance range of the excavator. If the slope is too steep, shake the material from the upper part of the slope to the lower part to reduce the Angle of the slope.
2. Remove larger stone blocks. When climbing a steeper slope, a stone block can also cause the tracks to slip, preventing the excavator from moving forward.
When climbing a slope, try to lower the center of gravity of the vehicle as much as possible, extend the forearm to the head, and keep the bottom of the bucket at a 90-degree Angle to the slope to prevent the excavator from getting stuck in the bottom if it suddenly slides down.
Sometimes, when the forearm is pulling the excavator up a slope, if the forearm is released, the excavator will slide down. To deal with this situation, the following method can be adopted: Insert the bucket as deep as possible, press and apply force to climb up. When the forearm reaches the head, do not release it and let it idle. In this way, the material under the tracks will move down along with the tracks and form a pile behind the tracks. Don't underestimate this small pile of materials. It can hold the excavator from sliding down. When the bucket can leave the bottom surface and the excavator doesn't slide down, slowly lower the forearm to the head and push it into the front as deep as possible.
Please be careful when going downhill
Be sure to remove the stones. Otherwise, when the excavator's tracks slip, all you can do is pray.
You must do it slowly. Do not make sharp turns on the slope (that is, one track won't turn). Otherwise, one side of the excavator's track will be filled with stones and soil, and at that time, even if you want the track to turn, it won't be able to.
No matter how big or small the slope is, make sure the excavator bucket touches the ground first. On an extremely steep slope, it's not only your feet that control the speed, but also your bucket.
4. Fasten your seat belt. If you don't want to break the window and come out, it's better to fasten your seat belt.
